SNY's Michelle Margaux catches up with top Mets pitching prospect Jonah Tong  and outfielder Carson Benge after they participated in the Futures Game on Saturday. Benge flew out in his only plate appearance while Tong pitched a scoreless inning with a strikeout. Both talked about playing in front a large crowd and what a "cool experience' it was. As for when they hope make their way to the big league club, they're mainly focused on improving each day so they'll be ready when the opportunity presents itself.

Mets manager Carlos Mendoza was impressed with Frankie Montas' outing, Edwin Diaz's six-out save and Juan Soto's two-run blast but felt above all, it was the Mets defense that "won this game for us." He praised center fielder Tyrone Taylor for two big catches and Luisangel Acuna for his work at second base in New York's 3-1 win.

Mets starter Frankie Montas allowed just one run over five innings and the bullpen shut it down the rest of the way thanks to a six-out save from Edwin Diaz to defeat the Royals 3-1. Juan Soto supplied the big hit with a tape measure two-run homer, while Jeff McNeil drove home an insurance run in the ninth inning.

Cody Bellinger reacted to his three home run performance as the Yankees defeated the Chicago Cubs 11-0. Aaron Judge also weighed in on his teammates big night, pointing out Bellinger was close to a four home run performance as Kyle Tucker robbed him at the wall in the 7th inning.

Despite trailing 5-0 heading to bottom of the eighth inning, starter Marcus Stroman marveled at the Yankees' resilience in staging a dramatic comeback to win 6-5 in 10 innings and complete a three-game sweep of the Mariners. Giancarlo Stanton, who delivered a pinch-hit two-run homer, called it a "huge win." Captain Aaron Judge who drove in  the winning run with a sac fly in 10th, praised Anthony Volpe for his tremendous effort in avoiding the tag at home plate. Judge admitted, "We stole one there."
