Mets DH Mark Vientos had a big bases loaded double in the eighth inning as the Mets topped the Royals 8-3. Kodai Senga pitched four scoreless innings in his return from the injured list and said he was glad to perform well.

Mets manager Carlos Mendoza spoke about the team's comeback 8-3 win over the Kansas City Royals. Mendoza praised the play of Mark Vientos, who came through with the bases loaded in the eighth inning. Mendoza also said starter Kodai Senga was "really good" in his limited action since returning from the IL.

Trailing 3-1 in the eighth inning, the Mets exploded offensively and topped the Royals 8-3.  New York scored seven runs in the final two innings, including back-to-back home runs from Francisco Lindor and Juan Soto to secure the victory.

Cody Bellinger reacted to his three home run performance as the Yankees defeated the Chicago Cubs 11-0. Aaron Judge also weighed in on his teammates big night, pointing out Bellinger was close to a four home run performance as Kyle Tucker robbed him at the wall in the 7th inning.

Despite trailing 5-0 heading to bottom of the eighth inning, starter Marcus Stroman marveled at the Yankees' resilience in staging a dramatic comeback to win 6-5 in 10 innings and complete a three-game sweep of the Mariners. Giancarlo Stanton, who delivered a pinch-hit two-run homer, called it a "huge win." Captain Aaron Judge who drove in  the winning run with a sac fly in 10th, praised Anthony Volpe for his tremendous effort in avoiding the tag at home plate. Judge admitted, "We stole one there."

He believes if they continue to generate effective at-bats, they'll be in "a good spot."

The Mets had a lead in both games of their Thursday doubleheader against the Orioles but each time, failed to keep them at bay as Baltimore completed a twinbill sweep with a  7-3  win in the nightcap.  The Mets managed just five hits, including dismal 1-for-8 with men in scoring position.
