It was another rough night for Brooks Raley and the bullpen, allowing seven runs and 10 hits over the final four innings. Francisco Lindor was one of the only bright spots, going deep twice and driving in four runs. Lindor just feels the team isn't "clicking" and they have to find a solution quickly.

For Mets manager Carlos Mendoza, having a bullpen with the experienced depth the team acquired before the trade deadline should be a huge advantage but the group "hasn't been able to get the job done." Despite the 11-9 loss to Seattle, Mendoza still believes they will turn it around. He credited starter Sean Manaea with grinding through five innings despite being hit hard but reiterated, "we have to play better baseball."

Francisco Lindor clubbed a pair of home runs and had four RBI but  the Mets bullpen again failed to protect the lead as the Mariners prevailed 11-9.
