5 things to know about Monday's game...

1) The Mets saw reliever Seth Lugo make his spring training debut and things went smoothly for the righty. Lugo took the mound for one inning, the fourth, and logged a 1-2-3 frame. Corey Dickerson went down swinging against Lugo for the second out. Lugo also didn't appear to be slowed down by his toe injury when attempting to go after a ground ball on the first out of his inning on the bump.

2) Walker Lockett started things for the Mets, making his second appearance this spring. Lockett had three scoreless innings and now has 4.2 scoreless innings pitched in the preseason. Against the Marlins, the righty allowed three hits and notched two strikeouts. Lockett also picked off a runner at first base, Jonathan Villar.

3) Offensively, the Mets had two triples. Amed Rosario had one on a missed diving effort in right field by former Met Matt Kemp, one day after he was held up at second base when rounding the bag on Sunday when he doubled. Jake Marisnick had the other triple, this time to left field, and he eventually went down as the Mets' lone run in the fifth.

4) Corey Oswalt tossed a team-high four innings on the mound, allowing the lone Marlins run. Chad Wallach singled and later scored on a fielder's choice, but Oswalt added a game-high five strikeouts.

5) Eduardo Nunez had the Mets' lone RBI on the day, grounding out to second base to score Marisnick in the fifth. Nunez also went 1-for-3 in the game with a single in the seventh inning as well. As a team, the Mets only mustered together five hits in the game after putting up 11 on Sunday against the Astros. The Marlins had seven hits.

The Mets will continue their spring training schedule and face the Astros on Tuesday in West Palm Beach, Fla. at 1:05 p.m.
