Who is starting for the Yankees?

RHP Jonathan Loaisiga takes the mound for his second start of the season. He allowed one run on one hit over four innings against the Tigers last week and didn't factor into the decision. Loaisiga will be making facing the Astros for the first time in his career.

Who is starting for the Astros?

RHP Gerrit Cole is making his third start of the season and still searching for his first win after landing on the losing side of his first two decisions. That doesn't mean Cole has not pitched well, as he has fanned 19 batters over 12 innings with three walks and a 3.00 ERA. This will be his second career start against the Yankees -- his only other outing opposite them came in 2014 as a member of the Pirates.
